A young black stork from the summer. His leg was already bothering him when he was caught, then it got better and now it's coming back. Last month he started limping and there was a strange "scab" on one of his legs. That's why he's getting honey ointment, hopefully it'll get better. So keep your fingers crossed that he's fit.

Today, like every year before winter, our black storks moved from their nesting pond to their "wintering grounds". They have it as clean as a room, we also have plenty of live fish, so I believe they will survive the winter there just fine.

The young black stork has permanent problems with his leg. Last week we also had a consultation with him at the Mada Veterinary Clinic, he was given anti-inflammatory drugs and supportive medication, but it's not getting much better. Today we made him a "splint" that should hold his toes in the right position. Fortunately, he catches fish well, so we'll see how it turns out in the end. Video by Mirka.
