Taka niespodzianka! Bocian Stefan (nr obrączki 17L8), potomek Skierki i Królewicza z gniazda w Nadleśnictwie Bolewice (rodzeństwo Grzegorza postrzelonego we Włoszech) ŻYJE! Właśnie został odczytany w Turcji nad Jeziorem Ulubat 1671 km od miejsca pochodzenia. Niestety nadajnik przestał działać w Bułgarii w pierwszych miesiącach migracji w 2023 roku. Obecnie ptak jest w 3 kalendarzowym roku życia, prawdopodobnie więc zmierza w kierunku Polski, by podjąć próbę lęgu. Such a surprise! Stork Stefan (ring number 17L8, hatched 2023), offspring of Skierka and Królewicz from the nest in the Bolewice Forest District (siblings of Grzegorz shot/injured and released in Italy) is ALIVE! He has just been read in Turkey at Lake Ulubat, 1671 km from his place of origin. Unfortunately, the transmitter stopped working in Bulgaria in the first months of migration in 2023. The bird is currently in its 3rd calendar year of life, so it is probably heading towards Poland to attempt breeding. We previously described his story here:
