Mlýn pod Novomlýnským rybníkem severně od města Třešť je zakreslen již na I. vojenském mapování ve 2. polovině 18. století i na císařském otisku z r. 1835. 1930 elektrárna, Novomlýnský rybník na Třešťském potoce, který vodou napájel Nový mlýn, byl vysušen v roce 1950. Dnes zůstala na místě mlýna jen hospodářská budova, přes zasypaný bývalý rybník vede silnice a je na něm stavba Správy a údržby silnic.

The mill under the Novomlýnský pond north of the town of Třešť was already shown on the first military mapping in the second half of the 18th century and on the imperial imprint from 1835. In 1930, a power plant was built, the Novomlýnský pond on the Třešťský stream, which supplied water to the Nový mlýn, was drained in 1950. Today, only an outbuilding remains on the site of the mill, a road runs across the filled-in former pond and there is a building of the Road Administration and Maintenance on it.
