Waba (hatched 2022 in Karula NP)

The autumn migration stops in mid-February and the spring migration continues from the following day, the 15th = the bird map is set for spring migration and the new distance measurement starts from 15.02. However, the birdmap is sometimes ready a week or two later.
Our storks appear on the map continuously when they reach areas with GSM coverage after starting their journey north.

Ahoj marika,prosim o Wabe nemaš asi žadne zpravy,že,,na birdmap porad neni,myslim,ze uz by mela davno letet na sever!dekuji a mej se hezky

Ahoj, žiaľ Waba sa stále neozval.
Už začíam mať vážne obavy, či ešte je nažive. V lepšom prípade len vysielačka prestala pracovať, aj keď pri tejto značke je to výnimočné. Dúfajme, že je stále nažive a keď budeme mať šťastie, tak horaz niekde niekto odčíta alebo zachytí fotopasca niekde na hniezde.

Hi, unfortunately Waba still hasn't sent any data.
I'm starting to get really worried if our stork is still alive. At best, the transmitter just stopped working, although this brand is exceptional. Let's hope Waba is still alive and if we're lucky, someone somewhere will read it or catch a camera trap somewhere on the nest.

Dekuji za odpoved,no taky uz se bojim,ale nic se neda delat,treba se nekde objevi!uz mi bylo divne pri podzimni migraci,ze posledni signal byl nekde z jihu izrael-jordansko

Takmer na tom istom mieste sa odmlčal aj Nurme, ale tento dospelý samec začal posielať SMS správy (súradnice jedného bodu, kde práve bol) na jar z Izraelu (20.03.). Na birdmape sa objavil až 29.03 a potom už údaje priebežne prichádzali.

Nurme also stopped at almost the same place, but this adult male started sending SMS messages (coordinates of a point where he was) in the spring from Israel (20.03.). He did not appear on birdmap until 29.03 and after that the data started coming continuously.
