NIGHT (13.02/14.02) - on the northern edge of the reservoir (shallow, marshy area)

Krum in sunny morning moved to the west (back to Belozem?). The newest location iss approx. 13,5 km away from hiss morning feeding spot (moved away at 9:10).
Krum v slnečnom prepdoludní o 9:10 odletel z miesta ranného lovu potravu a vydal sa smerom na západ (späť k Belozemu?). Najnovšia lokalizácie je približne 13,5 km vzdialená od toho o 9:10.

Taking advantage of the nice weather, Krum moved westward from Chirpan to Gradina. After feeding near a stream and its adjacent fields, he settled into the nearby woods for the night.

- Krum again checked the Gradina area - Natura 2000. Will he stay there?

Gradina forests is one of the last natural flood plain forests remained along the Maritsa River. The site's humid meadows support a populaton of Leucojum aestivum (species, written in the Bulgarian Red Book). The site is also very important for a great amount of breeding species and is located along one of the most significant migratory routes for the inner parts of the country. The site is an important part of the Maritza River bio-corridor.
The protected area Nahodishte na blatno kokiche - Gradina Floodplain Forest: Gradina forest is included in both Natura 2000 Directives – The Birds Directive /Directive 2009/147/EC/ and The Habitats Directive /Directive 92/43/EEC/; Protection of Leucojum aestivum L. habitat and natural lowland forest of Narrow-leafed Ash (Fraxinus angustifolia), Fraxinus oxycarpa, Field Elm (Ulmus minor), and Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur).
