Tootsi perished near Greifswald, NE Germany.

Something has happened to Tootsi and he is apparently dead. Apparently Urmas is sending someone there to look for the GPS transmitter and determine what happened.

OMG ... I don't know what to say. I am very, very sad and very angry.

It was nice to follow our chicks from the nest of Kergu, but today's data are not good at all.
Tootsi perished near Greifswald, NE Germany.
It is strange, yesterday 13:45 (UTC time) Tootsi was flying, but at 13:55 already at the small channel between the fields, no more flight and about 19:00 there is no more movement. No power lines visible in this area, it looks like shooting injury which ended up with perish. But it is only speculation of mine. Hopefully we could find somebody to check the place

If a bird of prey or a predator had eaten Tootsi's body or moved it, the accelerometer readings should have changed, but they have remained the same since 19:05 on 10.09. So something sudden must have happened that left him there.

Dobre rano marika,to je velice smutne,snad se zjisti,co se stalo!doufam,ze ne strileni,nechapu ,ze se v teto dobe jeste najdou takovi lide

Myslim si,ze ta zapadni cesta je pro capi relativne bezpecnejsi,nez ta vychodni!no uvidime,co se stalo,,je to docela severne jeste od more kousek,mohl i nejaky dravec,orel,nevim,treba jen loger je spatny

Obaja ornitológovia sa zhodujú, že ide o úhyn. Údaje z vysielačky tomu jednoznačne nasvedčujú. A vylučujú útok dravca, vtedy údaje vyzerajú ináč.

Jsem z Noveho jicina na severni morave,kdyby se neco podobneho stalo nekde pobliz nebo v okoli,urcite jsem pripraveny pomoct,lesy zde velmi dobre znam!muzu si vzit volno kdykoliv,pracuju totiz i po sobotach,tak nemam problem!je zde kousek i zachranna stanice Bartasovice,kdyby bylo treba prevezt zraneneho capa nebo zvire,,v tomto mohu pomoci kdykoliv,i pres noci
