the autumn birdmap starts with data from August 15
The spring/summer migration stops in mid-August and the autumn/winter migration continues from the following day, the 15th = the bird map is set for autumn/winter migration and the new distance measurement starts from 15.08. However, the birdmap is sometimes ready a week or two later.

in this thread we follow WALLI (we follow Walli's 1st autumn migration

Today, Urmas caught a new young stork from the same area where Metsoja 25's youngsters and other black storks are active. We don't yet know what name it will get. It could easily be a bird from Latvia, but we don’t really know. It will be added to the migration map.

MadisSaare, Uku, Metsoja 25 juv – Walli, Kergu, Trauma have all been stationary today, with minimal movements at their resting spots.

Walli is an unknown juvenile that Urmas caught from a feeding site where was 8 BS. Walli is from unknown nest (maybe even from Latvia)

Walli has now moved nearly 10 km east from the place where it was caught, but has not yet started migrating today.

ESTONIA: between Saru and Kuutsi - villages in Rõuge Parish, Võru County
(southeastern Estonia)
