CHICKS
- 1st chick: 58 days old,
- 2nd chick: 57 days old,
- 3rd chick: 55 days old
Egg 4: Laid 07 April - unhatched

Stork chicks grow exponentially. 90 days in the nest is like 18-21 years for humans. This means that 1 day in the nest is like almost 3 months for a human child. That is why their transformation is so amazing and fast.

Nest Activity Log 01/07/2026

I accidentally deleted the morning data, but I will add it later using Maria's photo documentation.
here you are:
1/ 08:52:55 The male (Natalio) arrived and fed the chicks with several portions of food (maybe fish).

2/ 11:30:00 Quick feeding by the female (Zica).

3/ 11:58:00 The male (Natalio) arrived at the nest. Feeding.

4/16:11:00 The female (Zica) arrived at the nest. Feeding.

16:22:10 A chick was playing with a twig.

16:41:09 - 17:53:08 A black stork was probably sitting on a rock near the nest.

17:44:00 A boat was seen moving from the shore toward the nest.

17:47:00 The boat scared the chicks.

17:58:08 A chick accidentally pooped in the nest while sitting down because of stress.

Note from the Surroundings (Alcántara Quarry / Water area):
14:18 – Observers spotted a young Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus) that probably made a mistake while learning to fly and fell into the water in the quarry area below the nest.
