According to sources,the population of white-tailed eagles is in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania the largest in Germany.

In 2024, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will be home to 479 white-tailed eagle pairs with 215 young birds, representing a record high in Germany and a historic high.

06.06.2025
"This year, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is expected to see a new population record of around 500 young white-tailed eagles. This was announced by the Western Sea Eagle Regional Coordinator, René Feige, at the last ringing of young birds this year."
