In previous years, we received data relatively regularly. The situation worsened last year. I hope that both Timmu and the transmitter are fine and the "silence" is only due to the changed situation in the region.

We should have data again during spring migration at the latest.

arrival to the nesting area on 13.04.2022 (last update - Estonia), Distance: 6469 km

spring migration started on 02.03.2021
- New data: 02.03.2021 (birdmap update on 05.03), Distance: 526 km (the new distance measurement started on 15.02)
- ERITREA: south from Sebdereat, Gash Barka Region, in the south-west of the country (above mountains/hill)
arrival to the nesting area on 07.04.2021 (last update - Estonia), Distance: 6737 km

when our storks are in Africa there is on their nest also this kind of change (only rarely)

I just received a message from Urmas, that Timmu occasionally sends data from his wintering area, but it's not on the birdmap.

In previous season we don't have new data some times also 2 weeks.
btw.
Urmas - birdmap (2021): "Ethiopia did not have as good a mobile network as a year earlier"
Urmas to our Madli (2022): "Timmu occasionally sends data from his wintering area, but it's not on the birdmap."

Wa have to be patient and keep our fingers crossed.

Spring birdmap is starting from 15.02 (some times also later).

But Timmu can appear also later on the birdmap. (see also: viewtopic.php?p=10807#p10807)

that was a better season for Timmu, he didn't have as much range of motion as the previous season (2021/22)
