Kherson: 'Heavy fighting' as Ukraine seeks to retake Russian-held region https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-62730439 (4 days ago)
EDIT
Stopover sites are places for birds to rest, refuel, and seek shelter during their bi-annual migration, the most perilous stage of a bird's lifecycle.

Re: KARL II, adult male from the nest in Karula NP
NO new data
we probably won't get any data for a long time because there is a war in the area
(Karl II most probably reached his stopover area at the Black Sea already)
fingers crossed very, very much!

Karl arrived to his stop-over site on 27.08 (first on the birdmap - already much blue lines)
and continued to the south/Africa on 05.10.2020
2021
Karl arrived to his stop-over site on 30.08.2021
and continued to the south/Africa on 10.10.2021
2022
Karl arrived to his stop-over site on 05.09 (maybe) ...
it will be probably one month long wait before we get data again
