I'm not sure if I'm correct with this information, but Kergu might be one part of this "special observation" for Urmas- meaning that he comes from relatively same area where Nurme and in the vicinity of these stork's territories is planned one of the biggest wind park projects of Estonia. The aim of catching these storks is to observe how does the wind park interfere with the further life of these storks. Their daily flight routes cross the wind park. (I remember this plan from my personal conversation with Urmas, but I'm not 100% sure if this is the case now)

News article: A rare stork threatens the giant project of Eesti Energia in Tootsi

Äripäev 22.10.20 https://www.aripaev.ee/suur-lugu/2020/1 ... elprojekti
Delfi Ärileht 22.10.2020 https://arileht.delfi.ee/artikkel/91432 ... elprojekti

Eesti Energia bought a plot of land for the construction of the Toots wind farm in Pärnu County at an auction for 51.5 million euros and won over competitors in court. However, the investment is now put at risk by the protected black stork that has moved too close.

An electric wind turbine should not be built closer than 2 kilometers to a black stork's nest. Such a nest was initially far enough away, but two years ago a new nest was discovered less than 500 meters away.

"At the time, when the bird survey was done, the nest of the black stork was not yet known, but since 2018 it has been known and it is dangerously close to the planned wind turbines," states Kotkaklub's local member Raivo Endrekson and adds that the plans should be reviewed and the wind turbines placed at a more reasonable distance from the nest.

"It is possible that the stork will not be killed by the windmill, but perhaps it will abandon the nest due to the disturbance, which is too close to the nest. A windmill less than half a kilometer from the nest is too close."

The Horyn or Haryn (Ukrainian: Горинь ; Belarusian: Гарынь) is a tributary of the Pripyat, which flows through Ukraine and Belarus.

The situation in Ukraine is very suspicious. Kergu is not the only stork who makes a big loop and turns back to Belarus. Is it a coincidence or..?
