it is true, Bodzio is still in France (on the map) - probably mistake by Mr. D.A.

(GT translation)
Europe today, Africa tomorrow

Four young black storks from western Poland are currently migrating along the western trail, where we are only learning the location of the parking places of our storks. We don't have as much data as it is with individuals travelling the Eastern Trail.

Interestingly, the stork DAREK flies the slowest, even though he started first. First he was stationed in Germany for a long time and now in ... Switzerland 😉 on S from Lake Boden.

The stork BODZIO as we wrote earlier was preying on the N from Lyon in France for a long time, now it is on the border of Portugal.

ARTUR the stork devoured for many days on poisoned Odra, but eventually he moved lively. Along the way he had a longer stop in NE France and now in N Spain, where he mainly covers water glasses prepared by cow shepherds.

And finally the stork Fast - SZYBKI, which started last and tomorrow probably the first to conquer the Gibraltar Strait and will begin the much more difficult part of the migration through Morocco and Western Sahara.

We wish everyone the BEST of luck! 🙂

From Poland to Senegal A short history of the FAST
(without corretions)

Parents of FAST - SZYBKI (oldest chick out of three) got married 😉 April 12 on the nest in #Nadleśnictwie Choszczno. The male arrived five days early and immediately started rebuilding the nest. The quick one came into the world as an egg 🐣 on April 24th, and as a chick 🐥 on May 28th.
This stork left the family nest ✈️ on August 24, arrived at the winter camp in Senegal on October 7, which is 5 thousand km in a straight line. On the way 26 September he was seen by Arkadiusz Broniarek Zieba accompanied by 24 other black storks as he conquered in the late evening the Gibraltar Strait.
Birds conquered West Sahara at a large 300-400 km distance from the Adriatic coast flying straight to the destination which is the fountains and ancient river of Senegal in Senegal. This is our first stork out of a dozen loggers equipped this year, which arrived at the winterfield 🌴🐟 After migration difficulties, we now wish him abundant and tasty meals 🙂

in the FB post there are first some nice photos of the nest life

The sands of the Sahara desert in West Africa are the most difficult part of migration

Over the Western Sahara, the hottest moments of the day after 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. FAST_SZYBKI spent sailing in the skies, where the temperature is more appropriate, around 25 degrees

Mama Skierka oczywiście zimuje spokojnie w Grecji w Lake Kerkini National Park nad rzeką Struma.

Our BAJKA on lagoons in Turkey
Our celebrity Bajka, a chick of Bolek and Skierka from Nadleśnictwo Bolewice (Marika: forest district), spent the whole October in the field canals and ditches in Stara Zagora. A week ago she set off and, flying through the Marmara Sea and the whole of Turkey, today she reached a great spot, i.e. lagoons in Yumurtalik Lagoon National Park. Her sibling BODZIO, who have not been reunited since October 15, appear to be alive but holed up on the Portuguese-Spanish border. Mom SKIERKA, of course, she winters peacefully in Greece in Kerkini National Park.

Not just about the eagles! It's also about our this year's celebrities, ie. black storks from #NadleśnictwaBolewice We join in the festive wishes. BODZIO left us in Portugal, on the other hand BAJKA is doing well and is having winter in Turkey, near the Syrian border. SKIERKA, of course, in Greece by the Struma River. Merry Christmas!
