Today the chicks had much less food than on other days. i hope. that tomorrow both Karl and Kaia will be more successful in hunting .

Chicks are 44/44/42 day old today
chick hatched on 01./01./03./05.06 - 4th chick: brood reduction on 15.06

FEEDING: 7x
Karl : 5x
Kaia : 2x

Today the chicks had much less food than on other days. i hope. that tomorrow both Karl and Kaia will be more successful in hunting .

maybe it rained in the areas where they go hunting - they don't fly in the rain (long rain makes their wings heavy) and it's difficult to hunt in muddy water after the rain (and possibly a higher water level)

the situation for foraging is not good at the moment. Karl flew more than 100 km today to find food, more or less successfully. I hope tomorrow the fish baskets will be filled again, I know it's not the best solution but maybe one to prevent a catastrophe

- only two feedings in this age it is not dangerous already and I hope with all fans that situation will quickly changing
- btw. in Lodz on 14.07 only two feedings too - by male at 7.12 and 13.36

Poor Karl , I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he has a better day today and doesn't have to fly so many km .

Chicks had a restful night. Karl and Kaia spent the night outside the nest.
