With Kaia's feedings I have noticed that she starts to eat back the food very quickly before chicks finish eating.

I have usually seen this behaviour on many nests (both white and black storks), sometimes only on one adult, sometimes on both.
I was unpleasantly surprised, especially when I felt that little storklets didn't have enough.
This is not necessarily because the stork is hungry, but also so that there are no leftovers that could attract predators.
(My favourite Tobias was a great dad. But when the storkies were big/bigger, he would very often take one fish right back with him - immediately after regurgitating. )

Madli wrote little one is slowly. I hope he will be able to move quickly and in the right direction to get enough food. As a one day old chick storklet doesn't need much yet, but if he doesn't eat every time, the difference will get bigger and ... Fingers crossed very much!

number 1 and number 2 ate one fish each, the youngest again nothing, it even turned its back to the food .


Towards the end, No. 3 got to the food, it was not clear if it was eating, but probably only some crumbs.


After feeding, Karl cleaned the chicks, turned the egg and continues to warm.
