To Marika: tell me if posting gifs like this is one ok - if not, I'll delete it
- yes, it is O.K. and welcome
- Tina, thank you for your nice and good work! :D

greetings Rysx (I read your conversation)

begging:
- nestlings start to beg for food whenever their parents are around or actually seeing the parent birds around the nest
- vibrations as a result of the parent birds landing nearby will also trigger begging
- they will crouch open-billed and flutter their wings while begging
- later we observe inserting their bills into the bill of the adult bird, which stimulates the regurgitation of food or they directly pick it from the beak

btw. how to translate food coma correctly into Polish prof. PZ can help you

Helo everyone :-)

Jednak potrzeby pokarmowe piskląt będą coraz większe i rodzice wkrótce będą musieli zaryzykować - podsumowuje prof. Piotr Zieliński, Wydział Biologii i Ochrony Środowiska Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego.

Events on the oak tree in Lodz province in the 2023 season.

🎥 In our black stork nest in May 2023, 4 chicks hatched. Unfortunately, the first one died on May 17 indirectly due to a tawny owl attack on Fermina, and the second one was taken by a hawk 5 days later. Two👀 remain.

🕵️6.06.2023 the bigger chick is now 22 days old, and the smaller one is 20 days old. At this age, chicks are usually already left unattended. Now, however, Florentino and Fermina3 know very well that goshawk⚡️ can appear at any time and they delay leaving the chicks. They can do so because they only have two chicks to feed. However, the nourishment needs of the chicks will increase and the parents will soon have to take a risk, concludes Prof. Piotr Zielinski (Department of Biology and Environmental Protection, University of Lodz).

Unfortunately I couldn't record it but I don't think it was begging- no flapping wings, and begging sounds - more like defensive sounds
And thank you again for your feedback :D
