"Para bocianów czarnych w Nadleśnictwie Sieraków niestety straciła ostatnie pisklę, które zostało porwane przez jastrzębia. Jednak osobniki dorosłe nie kojarzą tego faktu z drapieżnikiem, ponieważ nie działo się to podczas ich obecności. Wydaje się, że szybko "zrozumiały", iż dla nich sezon rozrodczy się zakończył, gdyż w gnieździe NIE WIDZĄ już młodych. Tak właśnie dzieje się we wszystkich normalnie zakończonych lęgach i wtedy także ptaki dorosłe tracą zainteresowanie gniazdem w kilka dni. Nie wiedzą jednak zupełnie czy ich młode całe i zdrowe leci już kilkaset kilometrów dalej z innymi bocianami, czy na przykład dzień wcześniej zostało ściągnięte z gniazda na ziemię przez jastrzębia lub kunę. Jednocześnie ptaki nie potrafią liczyć, więc nasi bohaterowie transmisji nie mają świadomości tragedii utraty aż czterech piskląt! Dramatyczne wydarzenia, które rozegrały się w gnieździe w Nadleśnictwie Sieraków są więc traumatyczne dla oglądających przekaz na żywo Internautów, niż dla samych ptaków. Dlatego na filmie już następnego dnia samiec podczas spotkania z samicą prezentuje się z wachlarzowatym ogonem, wita ją i demonstruje gniazdo, zupełnie jak na początku lęgu. Prawdopodobnie służy to właśnie utrzymaniu więzi między ptakami i gniazdem, które nadal jest dla nich potencjalnym miejscem do lęgów w przyszłym roku. W kolejnych dniach Notki będą zaglądać tu coraz rzadziej i poświęcą ten czas na żerowaniu, odpoczynku przed jesienną wędrówką, którą w związku z tym mogą rozpocząć o wiele wcześniej niż inne osobniki swojego gatunku. Życzmy im powodzenia, bo to niełatwy czas dla wszystkich bocianów czarnych."

However, adults do not associate this fact with a predator, because it did not happen during their presence. It seems that they quickly "understood" that the breeding season is over for them, because they CANNOT SEE the young in the nest. This is what happens in all normally completed broods, and then the adult birds also lose interest in the nest within a few days. However, they do not know at all whether their young, safe and sound, are already flying several hundred kilometers away with other storks, or whether, for example, the day before they were pulled from the nest to the ground by a hawk or a marten. At the same time, birds can't count, so our heroes of the broadcast are not aware of the tragedy of losing as many as four chicks! The dramatic events that took place in the nest in the Sieraków Forest District are therefore traumatic for the Internet users watching the live broadcast, than for the birds themselves. Therefore, in the video the next day, the male, when meeting the female, presents himself with a fan-shaped tail, greets her and demonstrates the nest, just like at the beginning of the clutch. This probably serves to maintain the bond between the birds and the nest, which is still a potential place for them to breed next year. In the following days, Notki will visit here less and less often and will spend this time feeding, resting before the autumn migration, which therefore can start much earlier than other individuals of their species. Let's wish them good luck, because it's not an easy time for all black storks."
