The night had a bit of a surprise for us

It was a cold night. There was even some snowfall!
Karl incubated the eggs the whole night right after Kaia laid the 3rd egg.

Immediately there is some danger!
Nest defending! Karl starts whistling, Kaia is clapping her bill.
11.32 The danger got more serious. Kaia escaped!
Could there be a bird of prey? A WTE or some hawk? The storks signal a very serious alert
11.35 The situation calmed. Karl continued incubating.
11.37 Kaia also returned to the nest.

The night passed calmly, without any incidents. Only Karl incubated the eggs. (I guess the standard "rules" - the female exclusively broods at night- doesn't apply to this nest 
)
