  • Wintering ground: Greece (Kerkini Lake area)

​​dzień dobry Skierka dziś odleciała. Jest na Stawach pod Miliczem. Może samiec jeszcze jutro tu zajrzy ale to wygląda na koniec sezonu. Dla bolewickich bocianów szczęśliwego. Do zobaczenia za rok 🖐 (

SKIERKA flew away today. She's at the Ponds near Milicz. Maybe the male will visit the nest again tomorrow, but it looks like the season is over. Good luck to the Bolewicze storks. See you next year.

Skierka była wczoraj widziana i sfotografowana na postoju w Dolinie Baryczy.

Skierka was seen and photographed yesterday during a stopover in the Barycz Valley.

Skierka już 2,5 tygodnia spędza z dala od gniazda w Bolewicach. Na miejsce postoju nie po raz pierwszy wybrała sobie stawy rybne w Dolinie Baryczy. Dziś w towarzystwie innych 7 bocianów czarnych.

Skierka has now been away from her nest in Bolewice for 2.5 weeks. For her stopover site, she has once again chosen the fish ponds in BaryczValley. Today, she is accompanied by seven other black storks.

Obecność bielika w Połczynie zmusiła bociany do przedwczesnego zakończenia lęgów.
Młode opuściły gniazdo w dniach 22-24 lipca w wieku 73-75 dni, Bawarka 24 lipca, Mieszko 28 lipca.
Bielik próbował upolować słabo latające młode, jednak kontrole terenowe nie wykazały żadnych niepokojących śladów 👍
Dziś jeden z bocianów zrzucił lokalizację z obrączki elektronicznej w Niemczech w okolicach Wittenbergu. Wygląda więc na to, że lęg zakończył się powodzeniem.
Bielik prawdopodobnie też przestanie się już pojawiać i mamy nadzieję, że zapomni o tym miejscu 😉
Życzymy szerokich lotów całej rodzinie i ... do zobaczenia za rok 🤚

The presence of a white-tailed eagle in Połczyn forced the storks to end their breeding season early. The young left the nest between 22 and 24 July at 73–75 days of age, Bawarka on 24 July, and Mieszko on 28 July.
The white-tailed eagle tried to hunt the weak-flying young, but field inspections showed no worrying signs.
Today, one of the storks transmitted its location from an electronic ring in Germany near Wittenberg. So it seems that the breeding season ended successfully.
The white-tailed eagle will probably stop appearing now, and we hope it forgets about this place.
We wish the whole family safe travels and... see you next year!

Jeden młody z Połczyna łączy się i jest obecnie w zachodnich Niemczech.

Niestety żaden młody z Bolewic nie połączył się.

Skierka natomiast jest na Węgrzech, gdzie poleciała prosto z Milicza i stacjonuje w okolicach Park Narodowy Hortobágy.

One juvenile from Połczyn is transmitting and is currently in western Germany.

Unfortunately, none of the juveniles from Bolewic have connected.

Skierka, on the other hand, is in Hungary, having flown straight from Milicz, and is currently staging around Hortobágy National Park.
