No2/Bonus is today 98 day old

- in the LK forum there were informal suggestions for naming the trio of storks at the clinic (including the names Bonus, Plus and Extra), but regular voting did not take place
- some use the name PLUS for the chick in Eedi's nest (No1) and BONUS (No2) for the chick in the nest of Karl II and Kaia
- Urmas used the name Bonus2 for the storklet in Eedi's nest

No1/named by Urmas Bonus2 was introduced as a foster chick to the nest of Eedi, Karula NP (no public streaming, there is trail camera) - perished (maybe on 22.07): Urmas: ... All four chicks are predated ... Goshawk, most probably ...
No2/named Bonus (colour/white plastic ring number 7184) was introduced as a foster chick to the nest of Karl II and Kaia, Karula NP (streamed nest https://youtu.be/9JMRFPM5NIE)

Adriana, thank you for this lovely video.

Our beloved Bonus is the only lucky survivor and I really hope that this luck will company him throughout the life and one day he will come back and passes on the genes of Jan and Janika.

My biggest wish is to hear good news from the returning storks and that they are able to find their own nest one day

Yes, Bonus is the only offspring that can further spread Jan's genes and thus Jan's line can continue. Let's all keep our fingers crossed for them and hopefully in two or three years we will hear good news about the return of some storks we have been watching .

10.27.34 Arrival of a foreign female
She tried to push Jan out of the nest. At 10.28.11 she left the nest. This is probably the same female that appeared a few days ago.
