Fuga should already be in Africa. Most likely, she has reached it, but due to military activity in Israel and Sudan, the GPS signal may be disrupted (in Israel), or the mobile network may not be functioning at all (in Sudan). If Fuga is in Sudan, she will not transmit any location data. Only after moving to another country (South Sudan or Ethiopia) will she upload the stored data. However, if she spends the winter in Sudan, she will send the data only during her spring migration back to Europe."

Our online nest, Dąb2, remains empty, but the spring migration of black storks is not over yet. However, the chances of our Florentino returning are now minimal.
We finally have some data - though still incomplete - from the 2026 spring migration provided by Fago's logger. Fago fledged from the Dąb2 online nest on August 8, 2022. As for her brother, Figo, we have no information from 2026 so far.
On April 19, 2026, Fago was near Timișoara in western Romania. This means she is currently in the Great Hungarian Plain and will likely stop in the Tisza River valley before heading north to complete the final leg of her journey to Poland.
Fago spent the winter in NW Ethiopia, 30 km west of Lake Tana - Ethiopia's largest lake and the source of the Blue Nile. Interestingly, Fago did not follow the Nile, which flows south from the lake; instead, she headed straight north. The Sahara crossing alone (2,000 km) took her 7 days. Her longest single-day stretch over the desert was on April 2, when she flew 430 km. The total distance from Ethiopia to Poland is approximately 5,500 km.
Fago spent the summer of 2025 in the Warmia region, north of Olsztyn, but she has not yet started breeding. Perhaps she will succeed this year.

Nasze gniazdo online Dąb2 jest nadal puste, ale wędrówki wiosenne bocianów czarnych jeszcze się nie skończyły.
Jednak szanse na powrót naszego Florentino są już minimalne.
Nareszcie dane, choć jeszcze niepełne, z wędrówki wiosennej 2026 pokazał loger Fago. Fago 8 sierpnia 2022 r. wyleciała z gniazda online Dąb2.
O Figo, jej bracie, nie mamy z 2026 roku żadnych informacji.
19.04.2026 Fago była w okolicy Timisoary w zachodniej Rumunii. Czyli Fago jest aktualnie na obszarze Wielkiej Niziny Węgierskiej i zapewne zatrzyma się jeszcze w dolinie Cisy zanim wyruszy na północ, żeby pokonać ostatni odcinek drogi do Polski.
Fago zimowała w NW Etiopii, 30 km na zachód od jeziora Tana – największego jeziora Etiopii. To właśnie z jeziora Tana wypływa Nil Błękitny. Ale Fago nie leciała wzdłuż Nilu, który z jeziora Tana wypływa na południe, lecz poleciała prosto na północ. Sam przelot przez Saharę (2000 km) zajął jej 7 dni. Najdłuższy odcinek nad Saharą pokonała 2 kwietnia przelatując 430 km. Długość całej trasy z Etiopii do Polski to około 5500 km. Lato 2025 Fago spędziła na Warmii powyżej Olsztyna, ale nie przystąpiła jeszcze do rozrodu. Może w tym roku jej się uda.
