Karl II is now already in Romania. He stopped at some fish ponds in Zeletin river. This looks like a good place to have a longer feeding break

Karl II decided not to take advantage of the fish ponds in Romania yesterday, instead he continued his journey to the north. But Karl II, as smart as he is, found another fish ponds 200 km away

30.03.22. Distance 6416 km (185 km/1 day) Same area, NW from Mîndîc and near Maramonovca, Drochia District, Northern Moldova.

Karl II continued to fly north and crossed the Ukranian border. For some reason, he decided to turn back and follow the same route back to the previous area in Moldova. Now he spent the night in a forested area NW from Mîndîc.


After crossing the Ukranian border, Karl II flew about 60 km towards inland. I think that this should be a relatively safe area at the moment. He flew until Bilychyn, but then returned to Moldova...


After returning, he ate some more at the fish ponds, but then flew a few kilometers northwest to a small forest to spend the night there.

Let's see what Karl II decides to do next. We don't know what caused him to turn back from Ukraine. Will he choose another route or still attempt to fly across..we will see. Hopefully meanwhile he stays safe!

Karl II is actually moving north. Currently he is in Ukraine! But since there are some problems with sending data, some of the newest localisations are collected via SMS ( this data is not suitable for the birdmap).
