good decision again.

Hehe..I'm counting the times for more personal interest, because I also still want to learn about black storks. Starting with this individual nest I wasn't sure how to format all this, but for now this is understandable for me and hopefully not too complicated.
Again- I want to make it as short and simple as possible.

PZ described that situation: Fer didn't know how it would end and was nervous all the time.
So Kaia's behaviour seems to be quite normal.
(I remember on similar situation also on the LV nest years ago.)

I also take Kaia's behavior as normal. As fas as I have understood- even birds have different characters and personalities like us. They tolerate different situations differently and act differently.
We already saw this in the beginning of the season when matings and courtship happened. Karl and Kaia acted totally different compared to Jan and Janika. It seemed that Karl and Kaia mated just for the sake of continuing the species, as rare as possible but as often as needed...whereas Jan and Janika showed themselves like real lovers- they were always close together, preening and showing affection towards eachother. And this resulted in 6 eggs..

Again- this is a perfect example of how comparing different nests helps us to understand and learn so much new about their behavior.

It seems that this camera can't change the viewing angle- move up and down or to the sides. So it looks that we can't see to the nest bottom- eggs, small chicks...we will see.

08.30 More grass. Karl pulls up twigs from lower parts and works with the nest a bit.
