- "For those three we together with Madis installed special room in vet clinic of University of Life Sciences in Tartu (nest in box, warming IR lamp, artificial adult stork standing on the edge, curtain hiding human if feeding chicks, etc.)"
- "we start to prepare nest for next stage in chicks life, that would be in natural surrounding where they could imprint the environment to look in future"

OVERVIEW of the season 2022: viewtopic.php?p=839#p839
I will add a few next points of interest (such as videos - links) during the day

MALE is missing from 01.06.2021 (16.31)
- most probably perished maybe due collision with electricity wiring (Urmas: " ... though, no facts we have")

FEMALE flew out on 05.06.2022 at 11.57 (action to save young)

TRIO of the SAVED CHICKS is in the vet clinic of University of Life Sciences in Tartu
newest news by Dr.M.L. about "our" storklets : viewtopic.php?p=4210#p4210
STREAMING https://video.emu.ee/
- on 11.06 storks got a new nest: reasonably large, very similar to nests in the forest (also with pine cones and tree leaves) - great work! thank you Dr. Madis

TODAY FEEDINGS
08.47 + 14.37 + 15.46 + 18.00 + 23.40
(yesterday feeding: 10.39 + 14.56 + ? + 21.57)

AGE of the chicks:
- 1st + 2nd + 3rd: 21 day old

in the wild chicks stay alone in the nest from a certain age
Book says:
"In den ersten 3 bis 4 Lebenswochen bewacht ein Alstorch beständing fie Dunenjugen. Angaben über die zeitliche Dauer de Bewachung variieren ... " (p.217)
In the first 3 to 4 weeks of life, a Adultstork constantly guards the downyoungs. Information about the duration of the guard varies ...

Marika: it depend most probably on the food searches as we can observing on the streamed nests; the parents only come to feed them and protect them from the sun and rain

"... dunenjungen im Alter von 14 - 21 Tagen kurzzeitig aufrecht stehen können. (p.221)
Down young are able to stand upright for a short time at the age of 14 - 21 days.

Dunenjunge = Down young: down young or pullus is a nestling in its first plumage (down plumage)

07.55.59 Middle (No2) is standing

edit:
the difference is still (very) visible, but it is not so big already (to me)

I looked back, it seems to me that the situation changed after the substitute feeding (then No3 missed the next feedings - without interest of food)
Adriána, what's your opinion?
