BONUS STORY - short version
Bonus is maybe the 2nd hatched chick from the Jõgeva County nest of the 2022 season (Jan and Janika) - 6 eggs, 6 chick hatched. Jan is missed from 01.06.2022 (Urmas: probably electrocution) and the little chicks were taken off on 05.06.2022. After excellent care at the Clinic (Dr.Madis), Bonus was successfully adopted into the nest of Karl II and Kaia, Karula NP on 30.06.2022

BREAKING NEWS

Bonus arrived today to his hatching area - Jõgeva County today
the resident pair don't like his presence there

it's great to see that Bonus is doing fine! I am incredible happy

Also when I looked back the footage and listened to the voices, it appeared that Bonus is a female! That is really good news

Urmas, can you please tell me why you think Bonus is a female

Yes, I think so. First the behaviour was very mild and second the bill is relatively short and slim. The behaviour was very similar to another ringed stork what visited this nest earlier current season.

Still no data from DNA. So it is speculation.
