----- Ringing in Kergu's nest will probably be delayed until it's possible to equip a transmitter, to avoid multiple disturbing to the nest. (info by our Madli shared via email on Tue 1 Jul, 18:55 )

Something happened at 06:02:25 that I, someone who knows nothing about birds, found interesting. Anyone know what they were up to? Also the part with them throwing the stuff they regurgitated away?
- our storklets were so deeply relaxed that they only reacted when Kergu landed on the nest
wings, wings, wings - they pulled food straight from Kergu's beak
storklets flap very vigorously when feeding (btw. occasionally there are reports of fractures)
- 23.07.18 something disturbed them
- all suddenly and we see defending behaviour: wide wings, growling, bill clapping (one of them pooping - stress?)
- the wind is very strong

10:16 PM Принцесса Диана
23.07.16 a branch broke off, hit the chicks, they got scared
- I'm watching it on rewind right now and with sound
- yes, right observation
continuation:
- they calmed down very slowly and at 23.21.16 again growling, wide wings, ...
- it must be something else - who is nearby in this time and this very windy weather?
...
- good thing they're sitting down, those gusts of wind are very dangerous (the oldest chick stood for a long time and had trouble staying on his feet)
- hope nothing happens to them at night, fingers crossed!
-----
- around midnight again growling etc. repeatedly
- 00.24 everything seems to be calm, our storklets are lying side by side
