Viisoara Forest is part of the Natural Forest Reserve with a homonymous name.
Since 1979 it has been protected by law, due to the secular oaks (some of about four centuries) it has housed. Some of them also have names or legends. For example, the “Princess Oak” is said to have been planted by His Majesty, Stephen Voievod. But besides oaks, there are also ash trees or maples in the forest.
It covers about 1,900 hectares, which is enough to lure you for a hike. The forest is about 10 kilometers from the village of Insurate, on its way to the village of Spiru Haret. (

I am already preparing materials for the stopover – information, pictures, and videos that are already here on the forum (in individual seasons for each stork)
