HALDA DE ZGURĂ Hunedoara (English subtitles)
It’s a large slag heap – a massive deposit of waste material from the former iron and steel plant in Hunedoara. The slag comes from smelting iron ore and steel production. The heap has been growing since the 1960s and today forms a kind of artificial hill on the edge of the town.
