00:00 – 12:11 – Parent Presence: Kergu remained in the nest, brooding and guarding the single chick since the previous night. No morning feeding was observed during this period.

12:11 – Parent Change & Feeding: Kerli arrived at the nest and Kergu departed. She delivered a batch of medium-sized fish, and the chick ate well.

14:22 – Parent Change: Kergu returned to the nest to take over guarding duties, and Kerli departed.

15:31 – Feeding: Kergu successfully fed the chick.

06:49:00 – Male (Kergu) covered the chick with moss on all sides.
07:49:00 – Male (Kergu) brought a large dry branch.
07:57:00 – Male (Kergu) brought wet moss to provide humidity/hydration for the chick.
08:04:00 - 08:28:00 – Male (Kergu) continued to carry nesting material (moss, grass, branches).

09:29:00 – Female (Kerli) arrived at the nest after being away since the previous evening. Feeding: frogs. Chick was extremely hungry.

10:59:00 – Male (Kergu) arrived at the nest.

11:17:00 - 11:18:00 – Both parents engaged in mutual preening.

11:48:00 – Male (Kergu) provided feeding: a fish. However, the female (Kerli) took the fish away from the chick (possibly as it was too large for the chick to swallow at that moment). Male vocalised quietly.
11:51:00 – Male (Kergu) flew away.
